Simply amazing

This is one of my favorite flashes... it had good graphics, good humor, decent sound, some good hidden surprises, and most importantly... it had a point. That point being, in case you missed it, is that originality on newgrounds is doomed to unpopularity. And there were a few other points aimed at certain flash authors who basically steal (images, sound, jokes, general creativity) to gain general popularity, hence the instructional video "how to make a good flash movie with literally no effort." Sure, you may spend time to make the movie - ripping your sprite sheets or roughly tracing a stolen jpeg, but then there is no creative input whatsoever, and that is what is hurting the newgrounds community. It hurts to see a sprite movie that scores over 3. Then I read the reviews of these flashes and it seems like it really could be applied to many of the higher-scoring movies on this site such as "omg i luv it, i like how you had/showed <insert video game character here>." That almost says to me... what's the point of effort if no one cares about originality? Triteness seems like a good substitute. Plus, it's more efficient. If I want I high-scoring flash, it seems like all I need to do is poorly tween traced characters from something currently popular, and you seemed to hit this flaw of the newgrounds community right on the nose (or wherever the hell you are supposed to hit flaws).

Reading through the reviews for this particular submission I find lots of irony and stupidity. People that are incapable of forming a coherent thought form this category of stupid reviews, who are too impatient to figure out what's going on or don't even bother watching the whole movie before reviewing. The category of ironic reviews is definitely more humorous, people leaving reviews (it's questionable whether they're intentional!) along the lines of "i like this movie because you included <favorite game character>." It's almost sickening to a point to see how many people who left reviews had no idea what the fuck was going on in this movie. I previously thought (because of reasons like this) that this community is beyond hope. However, after watching your flash, I was convinced otherwise. People who take the time to create an actual plot can still be successful (although, you did use video game characters - but that was to prove a point).

Rtil, keep up the good work. I'm looking forward to watching more of your stuff.

Oh and I only found 2 of the easter eggs.

I just made a flash of that

I'm just surprised no one else noticed that it was from "Mope" by the Bloodhound Gang. I had made a clip on this (as part of a collection of clips because something like this wouldn't deserve to be submitted by itself, in my opinion - well at least with my level of flash skill), then someone pointed this flash out to me.

I was happy that you actually synched the movements with the sound, because I was too lazy to do that for the most part. Otherwise, it was a sprite flash... which I found out recently, are extremely easy to make. Overall, not bad.

It's weird watching a movie from someone else's perception and animation after using the same sound clip and interpreting it and making it my own way.

I chuckled silently at parts

But, granted, any laughter was mostly out of pity. If rape and homosexuality are inherently funny, then I must not have a sense of humor.

Okay, I'll give you that the graphics and the sound were pretty decent, and that a lot of time and effort did go into this.

However, you were trying to be funny... and it really wasn't. It almost seemed sad and desperate... I might've found it a bit more funny if you didn't drag things out so much like Mad TV does.

I don't know why I laughed so hard at that.

That was awesome.

The "menu" button wasn't present all the time though.

Overall, awesome + funny = win.

It was just ok.

I didn't really think this did the "Badguys" series justice. The humor was kind of lacking... The series seems to have lost its edge. What happened to the crazy, random humor? What happened to the profanity? It seems that the humor in your series has gone from fresh to bland.

This episode was not really my cup of tea (or the episodes from 3 on, for that matter).

The "bad guys" characters are cool every once in a while, but I think they are becoming a bit overrused. Don't get me wrong, they are funny as hell as background characters. I just don't think that they are the best basis for an episode... especially when poorly animated (not necessarily a criticism, but other people would think so).

I didn't really think you needed the music either, sure it was kind of cool, but it wasn't necessary. I think the humor would have been better in some parts if there were no music. Like when the guy says "then you can make the babies!" The humor in that statement is kind of killed by the happy island bongoish music.

I really hope that this series doesn't go downhill. Episodes 1 and 2 were awesome. Bring back the real "Badguys," the ones that we love.

The profanity went away. It's fun sometimes. But sometimes it's good to get away from it a bit. It won't stay gone forever though.

I think the episode's pretty random. Maybe not as crazy as the first couple, but still...

And the series will get crazier again. And tamer, and crazier. Not every episode will be the same.

Well, that's exactly how I feel, except not about the bad guys. It's exactly how I feel about the blue and green guys.

You'd be surprised how much music can affect something. Especially a lack of music. If this didn't have some kind of music it would be way too quiet. It would feel completely different. When I added music for the first time, I really felt like it enhaced the dialogue a lot from what it had been.

But, sure, there's probably different music that would have been even better. I have a version with different music, but I didn't use it because it's not my own music.

Very Good

I wish I could rate each author individually. Some parts were EXTREMELY good, and others were rather bad. It was the ok or bad ones that kind of killed the mood that the flash was trying to convey, in my opinion.

However, I'm not going to point out who I think pulled the flash down as a whole, they probably know who they are. Plus, I let it go because the song was awesome... and touching.

I'm not a big Harry Potter fan

But that was good.

I loved the random logos on Harry's forehead, too.

I liked it

A bit hard to read at parts (too fast... or was that done on purpose?). Interesting style.

The only thing I dont get is why this is rated "mature." Sure, you talk about cocaine and necrophelia, but I think that this could be rated 13-17. Whatever though, ratings are pretty subjective and it doesnt take away from the fact that this entertained me and was a good flash (in my opinion).

CorpseGrinderClock responds:

I rated it on the individual categories, and it did have excessive explicit language and adult themes (drugs, necrophelia, murder)

Not bad

But I like the Police's version of "Message in a Bottle" better.

Also, try to animate the person more. I could tell he was a single object.

Awesome

I think I have to give you a 10 just based on the disclaimer.

Nice parody of the stickers movie.

"Even the Star Syndicate could understand that" = win.
